Faleke Picks APC Presidential Nomination Forms For Tinubu’s Re-Election

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday officially signaled his intent for a second term, becoming the first aspirant to obtain the expression of interest and nomination forms from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This move comes as the ruling party formally commenced the sale of forms at its national secretariat for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

The President was represented at the party headquarters by Hon. James Faleke, the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Although many groups had paid for the nomination forms for President Tinubu, including the Government of Kogi State, the forms were officially handed over to Hon. Faleke at exactly 1:15pm, by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.

The APC has maintained the price for its presidential nomination package at N100 million, a figure that remains a point of contention among political observers.

Even before the sales officially opened, civil society groups had raised concerns over the high cost of participation, arguing that such fees could potentially exclude alternative voices from the democratic process.

As of the time of this report, no other aspirant had stepped forward to collect the nomination forms. With the President already laying his marker, the political landscape now awaits to see if any challengers within the party will emerge to contest the ticket for the 2027 polls.
