The Reggae Boyz had a strong penalty appeal waved away during a rare second-half attack when Nigerian goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo, collided with Kaheim Dixon, but the referee was unmoved by the protests.
Nigeria remained entirely comfortable throughout the closing stages and put the icing on the cake deep into stoppage time.
Yusuf struck again to secure his brace and wrap up a flawless evening for the West African giants. The emphatic victory further cements Nigeria’s historical dominance in the competition, with the Super Eagles now having won all four editions of the Unity Cup since its inception in 2002.
