Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has officially signaled his intent to seek a second term, reiterating a firm commitment to the state’s continued growth.
Speaking to journalists upon his return from Abuja, where he submitted his All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form, the Governor emphasized that this move is a clear indication of his readiness to expand his developmental footprint.
He promised to consolidate the gains of the “Arise Agenda,” ensuring that the momentum of his first tenure transitions seamlessly into a second term.
During his address, Governor Eno acknowledged that while his administration has made significant progress, several ambitious goals remain to be fully realized.
He revealed that over 82 projects are currently at various stages of completion across the state. The Governor maintained that his primary focus remains the successful delivery of these initiatives, ensuring that the foundational work laid during his first few years yields tangible results for the citizenry.
The Governor made a direct appeal to APC faithful, urging them to support his candidacy during the upcoming party primaries.
He expressed strong optimism that, with the collective backing of the party and the guidance of Providence, the state would witness unprecedented developmental strides. “We call on members of the APC to support our nomination,” Eno stated, adding that his administration remains trustful in its mission to foster an environment where progress can thrive.
As the political season intensifies, Governor Eno assured the people of Akwa Ibom that his administration is resolved to build upon its existing achievements.
He noted that a second mandate would allow for a deeper penetration of governance benefits, reaching every corner of the state. By focusing on continuity and the completion of ongoing projects, the Governor aims to solidify his legacy of transformation and ensure a prosperous future for all residents.
