Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured a commanding 2-0 victory over the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Tuesday, sealing their spot in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup.
The highly anticipated first semifinal clash, held at The Valley in London, saw the West African giants put on a disciplined performance to keep their title defense firmly on track.
The undisputed star of the match was Millwall winger Femi Azeez, who enjoyed a dream debut for the senior national team.

The 24-year-old, who was recently named to the English Championship Team of the Year, made an immediate impact on the international stage by scoring both goals for Nigeria in a virtuoso performance.
Azeez wasted no time introducing himself to the Super Eagles faithful, breaking the deadlock in just the 5th minute with a spectacular, left-footed pile-driver that left the Zimbabwean goalkeeper helpless.
He then doubled Nigeria’s advantage in the 63rd minute, showing great composure to slot home his second of the evening and provide his side with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

With this decisive victory, the reigning champions have successfully advanced to the tournament’s showpiece event.
Nigeria will now face the winner of the second semifinal between Jamaica and India, as they look to lift the trophy once again and successfully defend their Unity Cup title.
