The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has announced that Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, will headline the Los Angeles leg of the official World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series.

Scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, the high-energy event is set to take place at the iconic Crypto.com Arena, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m., Pacific Time (PT) followed by a live broadcast at 6:00 p.m. PT.

According to a statement released by the global football governing body, Davido will share the stage with Diplo’s electronic dance music trio, Major Lazer, as the first wave of artists revealed for the United States showcase.

This special event is part of a first-of-its-kind, synchronized live concert series designed to unite the tournament’s three co-host nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

In a massive multi-city broadcasting effort, the Los Angeles concert will seamlessly connect with simultaneous and previously recorded live performances across North America, including acts from Toronto and Mexico City.

Organizers emphasize that the innovative format aims to celebrate the global passion, unity, and deep cultural connections that define the buildup to the historic sporting tournament.

Highlighting the significance of the event, Manolo Zubiria, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for the USA, expressed immense excitement about the chosen location. “Just two days before the opening match in the United States, Los Angeles will put on an unforgettable show featuring top talent in one of the world’s premier entertainment capitals,” Zubiria stated.

He added that the production will bring music, football, and fans together in a massive global celebration as the host cities prepare to officially welcome the world.

For fans looking to experience the spectacle live, tickets go on sale starting Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m., PST. Those unable to attend in person can stream the entire concert live on FIFA’s digital platforms.

In an exciting move for digital engagement, FIFA has partnered with TikTok as the exclusive social media livestream partner to broadcast the show directly to global audiences, with the full concert and exclusive behind-the-scenes content landing on FIFA’s video-on-demand platform the following day.
