Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has issued a firm assurance to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding the integrity of the upcoming party primaries.
Speaking with conviction, the Governor guaranteed that the internal elective process will be conducted with the highest levels of transparency, ensuring a free and fair environment for all aspirants involved.
The Governor made these remarks during a high-level special consultation visit to his home local government area, Nsit Ubium.
The gathering, held at the residence of the area’s prominent political leader, Senator Effiong Bob, served as a platform for the Governor to engage directly with stakeholders and reinforce the administration’s commitment to democratic excellence.
Central to the Governor’s address was a call for sustained harmony within the state’s political landscape. With the party primaries scheduled to commence on Friday, May 15, 2026, the Governor noted that the current political climate is ripe for a seamless exercise.
He expressed confidence that the transition will be devoid of the typical hitches or “political temperature” spikes often associated with such contests, urging party faithful to conduct themselves with decorum.
