President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and intelligence agencies to launch an immediate and exhaustive manhunt for the gunmen responsible for the deadly assault on Naridon Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The tragic incident, which occurred early Monday in Kamaru Ward, resulted in the loss of approximately 30 lives, including men, women, and children, alongside the destruction of several homes set ablaze by the attackers.
In a formal statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu strongly condemned the killings.
He described the assault as a senseless and barbaric act of terror directed at innocent and defenceless citizens.
The President vowed that the perpetrators would be apprehended and brought to full justice, emphasizing that his administration will not permit criminal elements to undermine the relative peace and security gains recently recorded in Kaduna State.
Reiterating his directives to the nation’s security apparatus, Tinubu stated, “I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region.” He assured residents that the Federal Government is actively working to stabilize the area and protect vulnerable communities from further harm.
Beyond security measures, the President extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government, and all residents of the state, assuring them of continued federal support during this difficult period.
He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the nation’s security architecture by adequately equipping security personnel and systematically dismantling the criminal networks threatening lives and property nationwide.
Concluding his address, President Tinubu appealed to local communities to foster closer collaboration with security forces.
He urged residents of affected areas to provide credible and timely intelligence that can aid ongoing military and police operations, noting that community cooperation remains vital in preventing future attacks and maintaining lasting peace across the region.
