A chilling video circulating on social media has exposed a fresh security crisis in Oyo State, where a school principal, teachers, and several students are pleading for their lives after being abducted by unknown gunmen.
The primary speaker in the footage, identifying herself as Mrs. Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esinele, revealed that the violent ambush occurred on Friday at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the Oriire Local Government Area.
Visibly shaken, Mrs. Alamu directed an emotional appeal to the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), urging them to intervene and resolve the situation peacefully before any lives are lost.
The video also featured another distraught victim, identified as Temitope, who was seen holding a baby while making her own desperate plea.

Temitope, who stated she works at First Baptist Church in Ogbomosho, corroborated the principal’s account, noting that the armed invaders swept through the school premises and hauled both staff and children into captivity.
She raised an alarm over the deteriorating condition of the hostages, particularly emphasizing the psychological trauma of the abducted school children who have been crying continuously since their capture.
While the exact primary source and authenticity of the footage could not be independently verified at press time, local authorities have acknowledged the developing situation.
The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, confirmed that law enforcement is fully aware of the viral video. “I have seen the video, we are working on it,” DSP Olayinka stated, signaling that security agencies are beginning to mobilize response efforts in the region.
This latest abduction follows recent, unsettling reports of armed men invading a secondary school in the Ahoro-Esinele community, further compounding fears over vulnerable educational institutions.
The disturbing footage has triggered widespread outrage and anxiety across Nigerian social media spaces. Citizens are fiercely condemning the incident, pointing to it as yet another grim indicator of worsening regional insecurity, while demanding swift, decisive action from the government to secure the immediate and safe rescue of all the victims.
