Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to strictly comply with the provisions of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), warning that his administration will not tolerate any form of default.

Speaking at the May edition of the Government House Monthly Prayer Service at the Latter House Chapel in Uyo, the Governor revealed that the state has recorded a significant leap in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

He commended the facilitators for their commitment and expressed his appreciation for the positive compliance recorded so far, emphasizing his goal to generate enough IGR to cover state salaries and reduce over-dependence on federal allocations.

Stressing the need to correct systemic errors and build resilient public institutions that will outlive any single administration, Governor Eno also utilized the platform to announce key updates regarding his administration’s third-anniversary celebrations.

Notably, he revealed a shift in schedule, announcing that the 3-day prayer conference to usher in the fourth year of his administration will now take place from June 1 to 3, 2026, at the International Christian Worship Center.

In line with the upcoming anniversary activities, the Governor further announced that a new youth-friendly center in Oron Local Government Area is scheduled to be commissioned on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Governor Eno expressed strong optimism that the facility would provide meaningful engagement and development opportunities for the state’s youth population upon its completion.

Concluding his address, the governor offered gratitude to God for the enduring peace enjoyed across Akwa Ibom State, particularly amidst ongoing political activities.

He called on fathers in faith and other spiritual leaders to remain steadfast in their prayers, urging them to continually intercede so that the state’s peaceful atmosphere can be sustained.
