Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has announced that the upcoming election cycle will mark his final bid for the presidency, officially ruling out any future runs for the office in subsequent years.
The prominent politician, who is representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC), shared this definitive stance during a Hausa-language media interview.
When questioned about his long-term political trajectory, he confirmed that he will not seek the position again should things not go his way.
Focusing heavily on civic duty, Atiku strongly encouraged citizens holding Permanent Voter Cards to turn out en masse, framing active participation as a vital step for securing a better future for families and upcoming generations.
Beyond casting ballots, he advised the electorate to remain vigilant at polling stations to oversee the entire counting process and ensure transparency.
Additionally, he dismissed ongoing public discussions regarding his physical health and stamina, maintaining that he remains fully fit and capable of executing the duties required of the office.
