Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has challenged the state’s youth to intentionally reinvent, retrain, rediscovering, and realign themselves to achieve sustainable entrepreneurial success and make a meaningful impact on society.
The Governor made this call while speaking as the special guest at the 9th edition of the Ibom Ignite Conference 2026, held at the Ibom Hall, Uyo.
This year’s gathering centered around the forward-looking theme, “Reinvent, Rethink, Reimagine, Redesign, and Become.”
Addressing the large gathering of young professionals and aspiring business owners, Governor Eno encouraged participants to firmly believe in their innate capabilities.
He urged them to embrace smart work and passion as essential pillars for navigating today’s competitive economic landscape.
Expanding on his vision for youth development, the Governor advised young people to look beyond traditional, one-dimensional career perspectives.
He emphasized the importance of diversification, adaptability, and exploring emerging sectors that offer long-term self-reliance.
Demonstrating his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, Governor Eno announced on-the-spot sponsorship for 100 youths in attendance to undergo specialized agripreneur training at CSS Global Integrated Farms.
He challenged them to fully commit to the program, assuring them of guaranteed success and self-fulfillment upon completion.
